Amedei originates in the Pontedera region of Tuscany, Italy. They are known for starting the chocolate renaissance in 2003 when they began negotiating directly with Chuao plantations. While Valrhona was considered the best of the best at the time, by creating their single origin Chuao it catapulted Amedei to the forefront of the industry. Labeled as gluten free and soy free.
